Fresh Ideas From Abroad: What We Can Learn From Music Agencies Worldwide (ADE x BMIM 2024)

Oct 16, 2024

As part of Amsterdam Dance Event 2024, Red Bridge Foundation facilitated a cultural and professional exchange between the Dutch and Japanese music industries through the Buma Music in Motion (BMIM) panel “Fresh Ideas From Abroad: What We Can Learn From Music Agencies Worldwide”.

The session featured Japanese music supervisor and entrepreneur Seiya Matsumiya, founder of Black Cat White Cat Music (Tokyo), alongside international industry professionals, discussing emerging trends in music supervision, advertising, sync licensing and creative collaboration across global markets. The panel explored how music agencies in different territories discover talent, build relationships with artists and adapt to rapidly changing technologies within the music industry.

Red Bridge Foundation coordinated the participation of the Japanese delegation and supported the international exchange activities surrounding ADE, including guest relations, scheduling, production support and network development between Dutch and Japanese music professionals.

This project reflects Red Bridge Foundation’s ongoing mission to strengthen long-term cultural and creative connections between Japan and the Netherlands through meaningful industry exchange and knowledge sharing.
